Deepace KC901V 6.8GHz Handheld Network Analyzer Review, Teardown & Experiments

In this episode Shahriar reviews the Deepace KC901V 6.8GHz handheld network analyzer. This battery-powered instrument is an RF multi-instrument integrating VNA, spectrum analyzer, field strength meter, and a low-frequency signal generator. It can also perform signal port vector measurement and 2-ports simple vector network analyzing (S11, S21). The review is organized as follows:

    over input power!!!!
    I have arrived over RF power input to KC901V, on S1 Connector.
    the power was 1 or 2 watt.
    kc901v run normal but no right readings, I connect to rf generator with 1 mW (0 dBm) but it read it -30dBm.
    how i can fix this issue??

    Hi there, I appreciate your video demonstration.
    Recently I purchased the KC901S+ and looking for some help to measure a couple of low frequency Tank circuits (one at 20kHz and other at 125 kHz). The problem is the impedance of the tank circuit is so high, I am not sure how to do the measurement.

    My little test jig has a series 10k resistor in series with the L/C board (which can be plugged in and out) I have some pins on the board to provide a short if needed.

    What measurement could I use (I am not worried about amplitude but need a reasonable peak to identify centre easily (hence the 10k resistor).
    And also, how would I calibrate the VNA to get a reasonable measurement?

    Sir, what does the structure near the port one SMA do (you said the other SMA is permanently tied to 50Ohm)?
    Wilkinson splitter? used as a directional coupler?

    Dear sir, I have a KC901v I buy it for tune duplexer, I always follow the usual menu but duplixer does not work.I try again and again is not success.So I wanted you show me how to tune duplexer with KC901v ?

    In the video you mention that this is not a “full” 2-port vector network analyzer but do not qualify that beyond pointing out that it does not have sufficient mixers. I am curious to know what is the missing measurement functionality that one would normally expect in a 2-port VNA ?

      It is only capable of measuring S11 and S21. For S12 and S22 you need to swap the cables / connectors at the DUT (device under Test). This is Kind of uncomfortable if you‘re e.g. Tuning filters or similar. Additionally inacceptable errors might occure if you are changing the cables or Connections. Comfort feature Not reales needed for amateur User ….
