some questions about audio amplifiers
« on: June 10, 2013, 12:56:33 PM »
Hello

I am newbie here in this forum and this is my first post. I apologize for my English I speak Brazilian Portuguese.
I ask your help to solve some questions about audio amplifiers.
If I have for example, a 100W amplifier, class ab polarized, and two transistors in the output is correct to say that each transistor will provide half the output power? The output power is divided by the amount of output transistors?
In the same example of the 100W amp, if an amplifier class ab, how to measure the power each transistor is dissipating and how to check in the SOA of the transistor if everything is ok?
How to determine how many output transistors are required depending on the desired power and load?
I thank anyone who can help me.

Consider a sinusoidal signal test of 1kHz at the threshold of clip
